Unified Examiners
Unified Examiners is a service company which provides financial analysis and collateral assessments for Asset Based Lenders including banks and commercial finance companies. Unified Examiners is one of a few providers who offer their services as examiners to determine and advise lenders regarding the collateral and business operations of borrowers before and after a respective loan decision has been made.
Banks and commercial finance companies who make higher risk investments with their borrowers (involved in Manufacturing, Distribution, Brokers, and Staffing) routinely hire Unified Examiners. They employ our services to perform analysis of the borrowers’ financial systems and documents along with confirmation of the collateral being used to secure the loan(s). Unified Examiners will meticulously examine General Ledger activity, cash activity, accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable and the related source documentation. We look for and identify accounting activities that may serve to manipulate the appearance of wellbeing of the borrower. Our examination processes often identify misrepresentations that may exist within the borrower’s financial documents and reporting.
After the analysis is complete, Unified Examiners reports to the Bank or lender regarding the operating and financial activities of the company and advises based on the analysis completed.
The relationship continues even after the loan has been granted. Unified Examiners is often contracted to perform recurring exams on companies who have already received a loan. Recurring exams serve to ensure that the lenders funds are being properly managed. In addition, they also ensure that the company is efficiently managed and maintains itself as a sound investment.
Typically, this type of financial analysis and reporting is done by individual financial analysts at the banks themselves. Unified Examiners offers a third-party solution: a way to outsource the work to an independent third party with a proven track record of quality analysis. Most clients have their own departments and will contract work out to Unified Examiners.
